Ukrainian Air Defense Forces showcase video of downing Russian UAV in Kherson region

Ukrainian Air Force personnel from the anti-aircraft missile brigade of the Southern Air Command South have successfully neutralized a Russian reconnaissance drone, the Orlan-10, in the skies above the Kherson region, according to the Southern Air Command.
Military officials clarified that the hostile drone was successfully downed today, on November 24.
"During the day on November 24, 2023, in the Kherson region, a unit of the Kherson anti-aircraft missile brigade of the Southern Air Command destroyed the Russian reconnaissance UAV 'Orlan-10'," the statement says.
The Public Relations Service of the Southern Air Command also released a video showing the moment of the enemy drone's interception.
Background: The Orlan-10 drone is considered the most widely used UAV in the Russian military. It is designed for reconnaissance, observation, and electronic warfare. However, adversaries also deploy it for combat purposes.
Earlier this year, the Ground Forces reported that Russian aggressors had begun using the Orlan-10 reconnaissance drones for dropping fragmentation grenades. In particular, the occupiers equipped this UAV with two cassette suspensions for anti-personnel fragmentation grenades.
