On July 5, Ukrainian defenders shot down nine Russian Kh-59/Kh-69 missiles during the day, according to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

According to the military, in the south of the country, the following air targets were shot down:

  • five Kh-59 guided missiles;
  • four ZALA reconnaissance drones;
  • two Supercam reconnaissance drones;
  • one Orlan-10 reconnaissance drone.

Additionally, in the east, the Ukrainian Armed Forces shot down four guided aviation missiles Kh-59/Kh-69.

Russians launched ballistic missiles Iskander-M at the Poltava region, while the Kharkiv region was attacked with guided aviation bombs.

Drone attack

On the night of July 5, Russian forces attacked Ukraine with Shahed kamikaze drones.

As Commander of the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Mykola Oleshchuk reported, the Russian army launched a total of 32 drones. All targets were successfully intercepted by air defense.
