Ukrainian Defense Forces’ successes
On January 21, the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces reported that Ukrainian paratroopers destroyed a Russian Forpost reconnaissance drone worth $7.5 million. This happened in the Sumy region. This was already the second such drone shot down by the anti-air units of the 80th Brigade, who had destroyed an identical drone in the same region in the summer of 2025.
We also reported that at the end of December, the Ukrainian Unmanned Systems Forces struck a number of Russian military targets in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. Among other things, a command post and a GRU special forces deployment site were destroyed.
In addition, on the night of December 18, Ukrainian troops hit several air defense targets, a drone storage facility, and other occupier facilities in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.
