Ukraine wins FIBA U20 EuroBasket Division B title

Ukraine's youth national team won the final match of the U-20 EuroBasket in Division B, and the hero of the final game was team captain Yehor Sushkin.
How the final match unfolded
The Ukrainian team traditionally started the match confidently and won the first quarter with a score of 18:13. In the second quarter, the Icelanders put up a fight against our basketball players, but it was the Ukrainians who went into the halftime break as the leaders, 27:34.
In the third quarter, Iceland's national team pressed Ukraine and managed to bring the intrigue back into the match: 46:50 going into the final ten-minute period. However, Sushkin, Hryshchuk, and the team delivered a powerful final quarter and secured the victory with an overall score of 74:64.
Maksym Hryshchuk recorded a double-double in this game with 16 points and 13 rebounds.

Overall tournament result
The Ukrainian team won all 7 matches at this championship and, for the first time in history, won gold in Division B.
At this tournament, the guys defeated the teams of Georgia (77:64), Estonia (87:81), Switzerland (74:72), and Luxembourg (80:65) in the group stage. In the quarterfinals, they overcame Ireland (72:62), and in the semifinals, they got past Portugal (81:61).
In the next season, Ukraine's youth basketball team will play in Division A.
Ukraine was left without European cups due to FIBA's reform.
