Ukraine unveils upgraded drone detector that intercepts enemy FPV video

Ukrainian defense technology company BlueBird Tech has unveiled an upgraded version of its Chuyka drone detector, adding the ability to display intercepted video feeds from enemy FPV drones on large external monitors.
The upgrade was designed to expand the device's capabilities on the battlefield. The new Chuyka features an integrated analog video output via a four-pin mini-jack. This allows headquarters operators to connect an external screen or a TV with an analog video input to the detector.
The upgraded version with video output is not a standard production model. It is offered as an optional upgrade available exclusively upon custom order. The device's package contents remain standard, meaning no additional accessories are included
"We added this interface at the request of military personnel working at command posts. The built-in color display is fully sufficient for individual use. However, when an entire team needs to view and analyze intercepted footage, a large external monitor becomes indispensable," BlueBird Tech engineers said.
According to the company, the Chuyka 3.0 is a three-band analog video signal detector that scans the 1.2 GHz, 3.3 GHz, and 5.8 GHz frequency bands, detecting drones at distances of up to 4 kilometers (2.5 miles).
A full automatic scan takes between four and eight seconds. The device has received official NATO codification and has been approved for operational use by Ukraine's Ministry of Defense.
Earlier, BlueBird Tech introduced the Chuyka 4.0 drone detector, equipped with an additional module capable of scanning a new frequency band.
Ukraine has also developed the DART missile, which is launched directly from stratospheric balloons. Its key feature is complete resistance to enemy electronic warfare systems.
