Ukraine under record fire: 537 Russian missiles and drones launched in one night

On the night of June 29, Russia fired a record number of targets at Ukraine - 537. Air defense forces shot down most of them, but there were also hits, according to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Russians attacked Ukraine last night with:
- 477 attack drones and imitator drones of various types from the following directions: Kursk, Shatalovo, Oryol, Bryansk, Millerovo, Chauda (Crimea), more than 250 of them were Shaheds;
- 4 Kh-47M2 Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles from the airspace of the Tambov region;
- 7 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles from the Voronezh region and Crimea;
- 41 Kh-101/Iskander-K cruise missiles from the Saratov, Kursk, and Bryansk regions;
- 5 Kalibr cruise missiles from the Black Sea;
- 3 S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles from the Kursk region.
The enemy attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare, and unmanned systems units, as well as mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
In total, the air defense forces neutralized 475 targets (249 were shot down and 226 were lost in the area):
- 211 Russian drones were shot down by firepower, 225 were lost/locally destroyed by electronic warfare;
- 1 Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missile was shot down;
- 33 Kh-101/Iskander-K cruise missiles were shot down, 1 was lost locally;
- 4 Kalibr cruise missiles were shot down.
According to the Ukrainian Air Force, enemy hits were recorded in 6 locations, while downed wreckage fell in 8 locations.
Night attack on Ukraine
The Russians attacked several regions of Ukraine, particularly the western ones. For example, in the Lviv region, the enemy targeted critical infrastructure, and there was a casualty in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.
The Russians also attacked Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, the Poltava region, and Smila in the Cherkasy region.
