Ukraine to create peace plan by end of November
By the end of November 2024, Ukraine will develop an action plan to achieve peace, states Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to him, Kyiv will begin detailed discussions with the relevant countries on the issue of territorial integrity.
“Patience, support, and diplomatic pressure are the three factors for a just end to the war,” the president said in an interview with NHK.
Zelenskyy also emphasized that he could not respond to calls for a ceasefire as long as Russia continued to occupy Ukrainian territory.
“If the US and European nations maintain unity, it will be added pressure, and show Moscow that there is no chance,” Zelenskyy added.
What else Zelenskyy said
In an interview with NHK, the president said that the US elections would have a significant impact on Ukraine's hopes for peace.
According to him, in July, Ukrainian officials had already contacted the campaign headquarters of former US President Donald Trump and US Vice President Kamala Harris.
Zelenskyy also said that during a phone conversation with Trump, the former US president said he was available for any questions.
Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that, according to TIME, Donald Trump, if he wins the election, could persuade Ukraine to make peace in Russia's interests. It is assumed that he may reduce military aid to official Kyiv and thus push Ukraine to the negotiating table.
