What is known about the Omsk Refinery
The plant in Omsk is Russia's most powerful oil refining enterprise, capable of processing over 21 million tons of oil annually. It has one of the highest refining conversion rates in Russia - approximately 99%.
The enterprise plays an important role in supplying the Russian military. The plant produces jet fuel, diesel fuel, high-octane gasoline, as well as lubricants and petrochemical products.
In early July, the Ukrainian military attacked an oil refinery in the Russian city of Omsk with drones. Hits were recorded on the plant's territory, sparking a fire.
Furthermore, a Ukrainian drone attack shut down the Omsk oil refinery, which is the largest in Russia.
