During the night of October 31, the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck the Kamensky chemical plant in Russia's Rostov region. A finished goods warehouse caught fire at the facility, and four workshops were damaged, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

To strike the facility, the Ukrainian military used attack drones and the Ukrainian Navy's missile forces. In particular, they deployed Neptune coastal missile systems.

According to the General Staff, a fire at the finished goods warehouse has been confirmed at the site. In addition, four production workshops were damaged.

The Kamensky plant specializes in the production of solid rocket propellant. It is used in munitions for the Uragan, Smerch and Tornado-S multiple-launch rocket systems, as well as for a number of missile systems and air-launched weapons.

Strikes on such facilities can affect the Russian army's ability to supply its troops with the relevant munitions. This includes rockets for multiple-launch rocket systems, which Russian forces use to attack Ukrainian settlements.

What other Russian targets have been hit by the Ukrainian Armed Forces

In addition to the plant in the Rostov region, Ukraine's Defense Forces attacked four Russian military logistics depots.

According to the General Staff, the following facilities were hit:

  • Khartsyzk and Dokuchaievsk in the Donetsk region;

  • Novovasylivka in the Zaporizhzhia region;

  • Novoaidar in the Luhansk region.

"Ukraine's Defense Forces, exercising their right to self-defense guaranteed by Article 51 of the UN Charter, continue to systematically take measures aimed at undermining the military and economic potential of the Russian aggressor and compelling Russia to end its armed aggression against Ukraine," the General Staff said.

Ukraine is working to increase the range of its strikes and plans to scale up units carrying out long-range strikes on Russian territory.

According to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Ukrainian missiles and drones can already reach Russian facilities across the territory stretching from Yamal to Western Siberia.
