Over the past day and overnight on November 5, Ukraine's Defense Forces struck several Russian military facilities in temporarily occupied territories, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
According to Ukrainian troops, the strikes successfully hit a storage, preparation, and launch site for attack drones, a drone depot, an enemy mobile firing group, and Russian repair units.
The General Staff has published the full list of targets that were attacked. They include:
-
A site used by the Russian army to store, prepare, and launch attack UAVs near Hvardiiske in occupied Crimea;
-
An enemy mobile firing group near Dontsivka in the Luhansk region;
-
A Russian military drone depot near Melitopol in the Zaporizhzhia region;
-
An ammunition depot belonging to Russian occupation forces near Novoazovsk in the Donetsk region;
-
An enemy logistics depot near Prohres in the Donetsk region;
-
Russian army repair and recovery units near Talakivka in the Donetsk region and Nyzhnia Duvanka in the Luhansk region.
Why this matters
The General Staff explains that Russian forces use positions in Crimea to launch attack drones targeting Ukrainian cities and civilian infrastructure.
According to Ukrainian defenders, destroying such facilities and drone depots could reduce the intensity of Russian aerial attacks.
Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that Ukraine's Defense Forces had thwarted several Russian offensive operations across different front-line sectors.
