Ukrainian servicemen from the Khartiia brigade have demonstrated how they employ the Dita self-propelled artillery (SPG) in combat conditions in coordination with reconnaissance and strike drones, according to the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

"Artillerymen of the Khartiia brigade are operating 155-mm Dita SPGs. In coordination with reconnaissance and strike drone crews, they destroy adversary targets, halt their advance, and provide cover for infantry," the MIA noted.

As previously reported, Ukrainian border guards received 155-mm Dita self-propelled artillery systems from Czechia in early 2025.

What is known about the Czech SPG

The Czech Dita artillery system is a self-propelled howitzer developed by Excalibur Army. This 155-mm artillery system is built on the chassis of an all-wheel-drive Tatra T815-7 truck with an 8×8 wheel configuration.

The Dita SPG is capable of firing at ranges of up to 39 km and has a rate of fire of up to 6 rounds per minute. Its unique feature is the remote control of all combat processes from the crew's armored cabin or even remotely via a tablet.

The crew is reduced to two personnel, minimizing risks for military members during combat operations. The system is also equipped with modern digital communication and navigation tools, allowing it to be integrated into NATO fire control networks.

Ukraine announced a grant competition within the Brave1 defense cluster for the development of humanoid robots for the Defense Forces. Combat robots are intended to minimize risks for Ukrainian military personnel during combat missions and rotations at the front line.
