Ukraine shoots down 127 Russian drones in massive overnight attack

Last night, Russian forces once again terrorized Ukraine with strike drones. Air defense forces managed to destroy 127 out of 136 launched unmanned aerial vehicles, the Ukrainian Air Force reports.

How many drones Russia launched
According to the military, the attack began at 6:00 p.m. local time on March 2.
The enemy used 136 strike drones of various types, including:

Shahed
-
Gerbera
-
Italmas
-
other types of UAVs
About 80 of them were Shahed drones.
Launches were carried out from the areas of Kursk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk (Russia), and Hvardiiske in temporarily occupied Crimea.

According to preliminary data as of 9:00 a.m., Ukrainian air defenses shot down or suppressed 127 enemy drones in the north, south, and east of the country.
At the same time, five strike drones hit targets in three locations. Debris from downed UAVs was recorded falling in three additional areas.
“The attack is ongoing, with several enemy UAVs still in the airspace. Follow safety rules!” the military warned.
Attack on March 3
On the night of March 3, Russian forces attacked several regions of Ukraine with strike drones.
Kharkiv was among the targets. In the Shevchenkivskyi district of the city, debris from an enemy drone damaged windows in apartment buildings and several vehicles.
In the Odesa region, port and transport infrastructure facilities were damaged as a result of the attack.
According to regional authorities, a dry cargo warehouse and road containers were affected, and windows in administrative buildings were shattered. No fires were recorded, and there were no injuries.
In the Dnipropetrovsk region, air defense forces destroyed 13 strike UAVs in the sky. Regional authorities reported no destruction or casualties.
Meanwhile, in the Poltava region on the morning of March 3, debris from enemy drones was recorded falling. Four people sustained moderate injuries.
Surrounding buildings were also damaged.
