Ukraine and US President Donald Trump share common views on ending the war with Russia - Ukrainian officials have taken concrete steps toward a ceasefire, according to US National Security Advisor Michael Waltz's statement.

Waltz explained that the Ukrainian delegation clearly expressed their agreement with President Trump's stance on peace, emphasizing the goal of halting hostilities, ending the tragic loss of life, and preserving Ukraine's national wealth.

He also mentioned that, in addition to the proposal for a complete ceasefire for 30 days, the meeting focused on the specifics of how the war should end and the security guarantees Ukraine needs for long-term safety and prosperity.

Waltz further stated that the shuttle diplomacy initiated by Trump would continue. Additionally, he revealed that he would be meeting with his Russian counterpart, and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio was set to hold talks with the foreign ministers of the G7 in the coming days.

Saudi Arabia meeting

Ukrainian and US delegations held a meeting today in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

One of the key outcomes of the meeting was the US decision to resume military aid to Ukraine. Additionally, the exchange of intelligence data between the two countries will also be restored.
