Ukraine's WTA update: Svitolina holds firm, Kostyuk falls, fresh face enters top 5

On Monday, September 22, the updated Women's Tennis Association (WTA) rankings were published on the organization's official website.
No changes in top 10
The only top player competing in tournaments last week was Iga Świątek. The Polish star triumphed at the WTA 500 tournament in Seoul but remained in second place. The rankings continue to be led by "neutral" Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka by a wide margin.

Oliynykova enters Ukraine's top 5
A significant development occurred in the Ukrainian rankings: a new player entered the national top 5.
24-year-old Oleksandra Oliynykova made a breakthrough: thanks to her victory at the WTA 125 tournament in Tolentino, she jumped 27 spots to rank 136th in the world. She replaced Anhelina Kalinina in the top five, as Kalinina has not competed for more than three months.
The highest position among Ukrainians remains with Elina Svitolina, who is 13th in the world. Marta Kostyuk dropped two places to 28th.
Svitolina and Kostyuk played in the final round of the Billie Jean King Cup, but these matches do not count toward the ranking.
Dayana Yastremska moved up to 31st without playing, while Yuliia Starodubtseva holds 86th.
In the second hundred, Anhelina Kalinina remains 155th, and Daria Snigur gained nine spots to reach 184th.
