Ukrainian soldiers continue to destroy Russian troops and their equipment in the Kursk region. All this is preceded by regular and thorough training, according to the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“All of this (operations in the Kursk region - ed.) is preceded by regular and thorough training, clear planning, lightning suddenness, strong brotherhood, and unbreakable fighting spirit. All of this is experienced by Russian troops every day,” the SSO writes.

In particular, the Special Operations Forces released a video showing the combat work of the 6th Ranger Regiment of the Special Forces in the Kursk region. The regiment's soldiers have repeatedly completed the inglorious path of the Russian and North Korean military.

Kursk region

Ukrainian Defense Forces launched an offensive in the Kursk region in early August 2024. By the end of the summer, Ukrainian soldiers controlled 100 settlements in the region and captured nearly 600 Russian soldiers.

In order to regain control of the settlements, Russia deployed about 45,000 troops to the Kursk direction in October. As Reuters reported, in November, Ukraine lost more than 40% of the territory in the Kursk region that it controlled during the operation.

Yesterday, on January 5, it became known that the Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked the Russians in the Kursk region in several directions.
