Ukraine's SkyFall introduces P1-SUN Jetkiller for intercepting jet-powered Shaheds

Ukrainian company SkyFall has developed a new high-speed interceptor drone, the P1-SUN Jetkiller, designed to effectively destroy Russian Shahed drones equipped with jet engines. The new system was unveiled at the Farnborough International Airshow in the United Kingdom, Reuters reports.
Interceptor designed for emerging threats
Russia is increasingly using new versions of Shahed attack drones (known in Russia as Geran) powered by jet engines in strikes against Ukraine. These drones can reach speeds of up to 500 km/h (311 mph), significantly reducing the time available for detection and interception by conventional air defense systems.

To counter the threat, SkyFall developed the P1-SUN Jetkiller variant. The new interceptor drone can reach speeds of up to 370 km/h (230 mph), compared with 310 km/h (193 mph) for the previous model.

Tested on the battlefield, headed for mass production
Work on the Jetkiller began about three months ago. The drone has already been tested in real combat conditions and has reportedly destroyed more than a dozen jet-powered Shahed drones.

The baseline P1-SUN model has destroyed more than 5,500 enemy drones since its introduction in November 2025. SkyFall says its production capacity allows it to manufacture up to 50,000 interceptor drones per month.
Countering large-scale attacks by low-cost drones emerged as one of the key themes at the Farnborough Airshow. Alongside Ukrainian developments, European defense group MBDA and US defense contractor Lockheed Martin also showcased their own drone-interception solutions at the event.
In June, SkyFall unveiled the P1-SUN Long, a variant with extended range and artificial intelligence capabilities for automatic target acquisition.
