Ukraine's prisoner exchange headquarters says it facing information attack

The Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War has reported an increase in information attacks. The agency denied claims about an alleged change in its leadership and urged the public to rely only on official sources of information, according to a statement published by Ukraine's Defense Intelligence (HUR) on Telegram.
Officials stressed that the claims are false and manipulative.
What the headquarters said
The Coordination Headquarters stated that its head, Lieutenant General Oleh Ivashchenko, Deputy Head Andrii Yusov, and Secretary of the Headquarters and head of the prisoner exchange working group, Brigadier General Dmytro Usov, continue to perform their duties and are working to secure the return of Ukrainian military personnel and civilians held in Russian captivity.
The agency also noted that, on the instructions of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, negotiations on future prisoner exchanges are ongoing.
In addition, meetings with the families of prisoners are held daily, new information is being processed, the information system and personal online accounts remain operational, international outreach efforts continue, and support projects for families are being implemented. Work is also ongoing on the Khochu initiative series aimed at expanding the pool of prisoners available for exchanges.
What Ukrainians were urged to do
The Coordination Headquarters said that the spread of false information indicates attempts to disrupt or discredit its work.
The agency urged Ukrainians to rely exclusively on official and verified sources of information to avoid falling victim to information manipulation.
Earlier, Ukraine's Center for Countering Disinformation reported a new Russian propaganda fake claiming that units of Ukraine's Territorial Defense Forces had allegedly been destroyed in the Lyman sector. The center said the fabricated video used an AI-generated voice and that the claims were false.
