Ukraine's Presidential Office head: Major prisoner exchange to take place soon

Russia categorically does not want to stop the war against Ukraine along the front line or hold peace talks. The two sides are communicating only on prisoner exchanges, one of which is planned in the coming days, according to a statement by Ukrainian Presidential Office head Kyrylo Budanov in an interview broadcast on the national telethon.
New major prisoner exchange
According to Budanov, talks with the aggressor state are currently limited to prisoner exchanges.
"By the way, there was an exchange recently, and then more people were returned from Belarus on Independence Day. And there will be another major exchange very soon," the head of the Presidential Office said.
He noted that these are the main aspects underpinning the dialogue with Russia at the moment.
Talks will continue
Budanov noted that Ukraine will look for "options at sea, because something needs to be done about this."
"I think very soon everyone will see the talks, but they will mostly concern technical issues and preparations for something bigger, something I hope we will eventually reach," he said.
Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that, according to Budanov, Ukraine cannot mobilize fewer than 30,000 people into the military each month.
It was also reported that Budanov questioned the logic of calls to mobilize women in Ukraine given the current situation with men of conscription age.
In addition, according to Budanov, Russians believed that the war would end during the protests last year.
