Ukraine's partners have two ways to prevent such attacks: Foreign Minister on shelling of Kharkiv
Russian ruler Vladimir Putin cannot capture Kharkiv, so he is trying to destroy it. Our Ukrainian partners can prevent such attacks, like the one on the Epicenter today, and they have two ways to do so, states Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.
"He can't occupy Kharkiv, hence he tries to kill it. There are two ways for Ukraine’s partners to prevent such strikes. First: more “Patriots” and other air defense systems for Ukraine," the Ukrainian minister emphasized.
The second way, according to Kuleba, is to provide Ukraine with long-range weapons so that Russian planes are shot down before they even drop their bombs.
"Second: Ukraine shooting down Russian military aircraft before they drop bombs on Kharkiv and other cities and communities. Provide Ukraine with additional air defense and support Ukrainian strikes on military targets in Russia. Act now," the minister wrote.
Shelling of the hypermarket in Kharkiv
On May 25, Russian troops attacked the Epicenter construction hypermarket in Kharkiv. At the time, there could have been 100 to 200 people in the building who did not have time to evacuate after the alarm was sounded.
So far, two people have been reported dead from the Russian strike and more than 30 injured. Many people are missing, including 10 Epicenter employees. Read more about the enemy shelling of Kharkiv here.
After that, the Russians also struck the central part of Kharkiv, hitting a residential area. At least 18 people have been reported injured, including a teenager.
