Ukraine's National Guard to open recruitment center for foreign volunteers

Ukraine will establish a Center for the Recruitment of Foreigners and Stateless Persons within the National Guard, according to Ukrainian Prime Minister Serhii Koretskyi.
"The center will coordinate the recruitment of foreign volunteers for contract service and support them at every stage, from interviews and background checks to training," he said.
According to the prime minister, the process from submitting an application to being assigned to a unit should be made as fast as possible so that combat brigades can receive the necessary reinforcements more quickly.
The head of government stressed that recruiting foreign volunteers to join the Defense Forces is currently one of the state's key priorities.
"The goal is to scale up this effort and bring more people into the Ukrainian military who are ready to defend our country alongside Ukrainians," Koretskyi said.
Earlier, Ukraine began working to improve legislation and conditions for foreigners who join the fight against Russian aggression.
In particular, in July, Ukraine opened up the market for services supporting foreign volunteers, introducing uniform and transparent rules for companies that recruit motivated fighters for the Defense Forces.
In addition, the government revised financial incentives for recruitment. Ukraine increased payments for foreign volunteers recruited into the military to UAH 300,000 ($6,718), tasking recruitment companies with selecting and training fighters from abroad.
