The Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Rustem Umerov, held talks with his Australian counterpart, Richard Marles. In particular, they discussed Ukraine's needs for the winter, according to Umerov.

"We discussed Ukraine’s critical needs for winter, mainly air defence systems, artillery and more ammo," noted the Ukrainian minister.

According to him, attention was also given to systems protecting against Russian drones.

Umerov thanked Australia for its political support, military assistance, and training for our soldiers.

Australia's assistance to Ukraine

Australia has been one of Ukraine's allies since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion.

A few weeks ago, the Australian government announced a new military aid package for our soldiers worth $12 million. As part of this aid, Ukraine received a metal 3D printer and drone countermeasure systems.

Also, Australia recently extended sanctions on imports from Russia and Belarus for two more years.
