Ukraine’s military gets reinforcements, pushes back Russian attacks

Ukrainian defenders in the area of responsibility of the Operational Command East are holding back the enemy’s advance and have repelled 46 assaults since the start of the day. Reinforcements that the Defense Forces recently received in the Pokrovsk–Myrnohrad agglomeration area are also important, said Viktor Trehubov, spokesperson for the Operational-Strategic Group Dnipro.
According to him, active operations by Ukrainian units are still ongoing in the Pokrovsk–Myrnohrad agglomeration area. At the same time, Russian forces are suffering significant losses and have already committed their entire operational reserve - an airborne division consisting of three regiments.
“With these forces, the Russians are trying to break through our defenses, both on the flanks and directly. However, the Defense Forces of Ukraine have also recently received reinforcements, so they are successfully countering these attempts,” the statement said.
It is known that since the start of the day, the occupiers have carried out 25 attacks on the Pokrovsk direction against the positions of our defenders in the areas of the settlements of Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Filiia, as well as toward the settlements of Hryshyne and Novopavlivka. While holding back the enemy’s onslaught, Ukrainian defenders have already repelled 19 attacks; fighting continues.
“The Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to control the northern part of Pokrovsk. In the central part of the city, Ukrainian soldiers are blocking the enemy’s advance,” the press service added.
In Myrnohrad, Ukrainian units are holding defensive lines and eliminating the enemy on the approaches to the city.
“Logistics remain complicated. Measures are being taken to expand logistical corridors to Myrnohrad to strengthen our supply capabilities,” the Operational-Strategic Group Dnipro added.
As is known, Russian propagandists are lying about the complete occupation of Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region. The enemy is unable to break through the defenses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the northern part of the city and is using thermobaric artillery.
Recently, the Russian forces spread a fake about the occupation of Pokrovsk. Enemy sabotage groups did manage to infiltrate the city; however, by order of the senior military command, many different units were deployed to Pokrovsk to defend this strategically important area.
