Ukraine’s intelligence reveals number of Russian troops on its soil

Approximately 700,000 Russian military personnel are present on Ukrainian territory, according to an interview with Andrii Yusov, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense.
According to Yusov, this figure includes not only regular troops but also support forces, intelligence services, and the Russian National Guard.
Most of the grouping is concentrated in the Donetsk region, indicating the enemy’s main priority.
Regarding the presence of North Korean fighters in Ukraine, Yusov stated that they remain only on Russian territory.
Earlier, Viktor Trehubov, spokesperson for the operational-strategic grouping of troops Dnipro, noted that there are twice as many Russian troops in the Pokrovsk direction as the city’s pre-war population - 110,000 compared to 60,000.
“It seems as if they gathered such a horde to take on an average European country,” he said.
The Russian army regularly suffers heavy personnel losses: according to reports from the Ukrainian General Staff, between 800 and 850 soldiers are lost daily. Since the start of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, the Russian army has lost over one million servicemen.
