Ukraine's Industries Ministry uncovers timeline for Bayraktar plant construction
The plant of the Turkish company Baykar has begun active construction in Ukraine. It is scheduled to be completed within one and a half years, announces Ukraine's Minister for Strategic Industries, Oleksandr Kamyshin.
"This is one of those stories where, for some unclear reasons, this plant was not being constructed," the statement reads.
According to the minister, it is currently being built very actively.
"The announced term for completion was a year and a half. When we talk about profit, I am confident that it should be, and it will be," Kamyshin adds.
Bayraktar plant
In July 2022, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced the preparation of an agreement with Türkiye, allowing the construction of the Bayraktar drone plant in our country.
Baykar has already received licenses from Türkiye to produce Bayraktar TB2 and Akıncı drones in Ukraine.
Baykar CEO Haluk Bayraktar stated that the plant in Ukraine would be launched as early as 2025, with planned investments totaling $95.5 million.
