Ukraine's General Staff confirms strike on Russia's Primorsko-Akhtarsk airfield
On the night of February 6, the Primorsko-Akhtarsk military airfield in Krasnodar Krai was hit, causing explosions and a fire. The strikes were carried out by units of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in cooperation with other units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The military department noted that this Russian airport Primorsko-Akhtarsk is an object of operational basing of aircraft.
“It is used for storage, preparation, and launch of Shahed UAVs on the territory of Ukraine, as well as maintenance of aircraft performing tasks in the districts of Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions,” Ukraine's General Staff said.
It was confirmed that there were hits and explosions in the target area, and a fire broke out. The military also added that the results of the attack are being clarified.
Ukraine's General Staff emphasized that the strikes on the targets involved in the Russian armed aggression against Ukraine and terrorizing the civilian population will continue.

Explosions in Primorsko-Akhtarsk
Explosions occurred in the Russian city of Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Krasnodar Krai, on February 5.
Videos of the explosions were posted online. The footage showed smoke, sirens, and a sound similar to a UAV engine.
Later, Andrii Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, said that the strike was near the Primorsko-Akhtarsk airfield, where one of the warehouses with the Shahed drones is located.
