Ukraine's First Lady wears traditional embroidered blouse: Where to buy same vyshyvanka?

In 2023, the First Lady of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, appeared in public wearing an embroidered blouse (vyshyvanka) by a Ukrainian brand. The look drew widespread attention, and the blouse quickly became popular among buyers. Nataliia Herheliuk, designer and founder of the brand GAPTUVALNYA, shared how that blouse was chosen and whether it is still available for purchase today.
How Olena Zelenska chose the blouse
"It was a great honor for us! Mrs. Olena Zelenska first appeared in our embroidered blouse at the beginning of 2023," says Nataliia Herheliuk.
The model is called "Pomgranate Vine" and is still available for order.
"This is one of our most popular models, and we are very happy that it received such recognition," the designer adds.
The First Lady’s look became an example of how an embroidered blouse can be elegant, modern, and appropriate for the most important public occasions.
What we know about the 'Pomegranate Vine' blouse
GAPTUVALNYA offers a series of embroidered blouses under the name "Pomgranate Vine". For example, one version, decorated in the style of Petrykivka painting with lace accents on the sleeves, chest, and back, costs around $255.

Olena Zelenska’s choice was a white-embroidered blouse inspired by the traditional "Pomgranate Vine" shirt. The pomegranate vine is an ancient Eastern symbol of prosperity and abundance. This blouse also costs around $176.
