On Wednesday, July 16, a meeting of the Lublin Triangle will take place in Lublin, with the participation of the foreign ministers of Ukraine, Lithuania, and Poland. According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the parties will discuss the security situation, Euro-Atlantic integration, and countering Russian threats.

As the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reminded, the Lublin Triangle format was established in 2020 and is marking its fifth anniversary this year. The Lublin Triangle serves as a political platform for coordinating efforts on security, economic matters, and Euro-Atlantic integration.

“The minister will discuss the security situation in Ukraine and the region with his counterparts, particularly considering the shared border of the Lublin Triangle countries with Russia and Belarus, the strengthening of Ukraine’s military-technical capabilities, the enhancement of defense cooperation, increased coordinated pressure by the US and EU on Russia, and efforts to counter disinformation and other Russian hybrid threats,” the statement said.

The meeting will also focus on Ukraine’s progress toward membership in the EU and NATO, the development of infrastructure projects, as well as scientific, cultural, and people-to-people contacts between the peoples of Ukraine, Lithuania, and Poland — all aimed at strengthening trust and partnership in the region.

“The event will make it possible to coordinate key agenda issues, prepare joint positions, and define priorities for the upcoming Lublin Triangle leaders’ summit. A Joint Statement by the foreign ministers of the Lublin Triangle is expected to be adopted following the meeting,” the Foreign Ministry stated.

Earlier, it was reported that Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha held a meeting with members of the US House of Representatives. The parties discussed strengthening defense cooperation between Ukraine and the US, as well as further steps to counter Russian aggression.
