Ukrainian Defense Forces have carried out a large-scale operation in the north of the Kharkiv region, successfully liberating 20 hectares of forest near the settlement of Lyptsi, the 13th Operational Brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine Khartiia reports.

As stated, Khartia fighters in coordination with other units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, completed a major operation to liberate a forested area north of Lyptsi in Kharkiv region, timed to the Day of Remembrance and Victory over Nazism in World War II. The total area of the de-occupied territory exceeds 2 million square meters (over 200 hectares).

"The offensive lasted five and a half months - the operation began in November 2024. Thanks to the coordinated efforts of the units, the enemy was pushed further away from Kharkiv, and control was restored over a strategically and environmentally important area," the statement says.

During this time, the enemy suffered nearly 1,500 casualties (killed and wounded), lost over 200 pieces of weaponry, and 175 units of equipment.

The breakthrough of enemy defenses and the capture of a foothold in the early stage of the operation were carried out jointly by the Khartia Operational Brigade and the 92nd Separate Assault Brigade named after Kish Ataman Ivan Sirko.
