Russia does not abandon its goals to seize Ukrainian territories and, using massive air raids, continues its efforts to leave Ukraine without energy, according to Ukrainian Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi.

According to Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi, at this stage, the Defense Forces' key task is to destroy the enemy air attack means used by Russia on a daily basis. He stressed that visible military results will create the basis for successful diplomacy.

Syrskyi noted that strengthening the direction of interceptor drones remains a priority. This includes increasing the number of such drones, ground stations, and radar equipment, as well as expanding crew training.

"Our key task at this stage is to strengthen the direction of interceptor drones, increase the number of relevant drones, ground stations, and radar systems, as well as to increase the volume and quality of crew training," Syrskyi said.

He noted that, within the layered air defense system, intercept lines are already being established at a distance from major cities. The applications of intercepting drones and their efficacy are gradually increasing. However, the work should be completed more quickly.

Separately, the Commander-in-Chief reported on the formation of unmanned air defense divisions and the creation of regular units of interceptor drones within training centers. The army's resources and small aircraft, along with support from international partners, are also involved in countering the Shaheds.

"The enemy takes advantage of weather conditions, upgrades its attack drones and changes the tactics of their use, attacking at ultra-low altitudes. Accordingly, we modernize our counteraction methods and change the system to achieve the necessary results," the Commander-in-Chief said.

Production of interceptor drones

Earlier, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that Ukraine plans to produce 600-800 interceptor drones per day by the end of November. At the same time, the implementation may be complicated by Russian attacks.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has also pledged to reach a production level of 1,000 interceptor drones per day in the near future, calling that a direct response to Russia’s nighttime attacks.

Now, Ukraine already has interceptor drones capable of countering Russian Shaheds, including models with jet engines.
