Agents of the Atesh partisan movement destroyed a freight locomotive near the Liski railway station in Russia's Voronezh region. The sabotage disrupted military shipments intended for Russian occupation forces on the Kupiansk axis, the Atesh partisan movement reports.
According to the group, the locomotive sustained damage that would prevent it from returning to service without a major overhaul.
The Liski railway hub is a major artery on Russia's main southern rail route, carrying trains from the Volga region, the Urals, and Siberia toward Valuyki.
Russian military command uses this route to continuously transport heavy armored vehicles, fuel, and tons of ammunition to its grouping of forces attacking Ukrainian positions on the Kupiansk axis.

With serviceable locomotives in short supply, the damage is causing delays to military freight trains and disrupting supply schedules to the front, the partisans said.
In September, Atesh agents carried out another successful act of sabotage on a key railway section in the Russian city of Taganrog.
Taganrog serves as a major entry point and distribution hub for the entire Azov railway line, which supplies Russia's southern military grouping.
