Ukraine's army chief visits eastern frontline hotspots: Insights into situation and decisions
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, visited several hotspots on the eastern front today. Despite the challenging situation there, the enemy has suffered exceptionally high losses over the past two weeks, according to his Telegram channel.
"Today began with a move to the operational area in the direction of active enemy actions. I worked with two brigades, where the situation gradually complicates, and there is a threat of enemy units advancing into the depth of our combat formations," wrote Syrskyi.
He noted that after analyzing and assessing the situation together with the commanders and officers of the headquarters, all necessary decisions were made regarding the reinforcement with reserves, ammunition, and electronic warfare means of the mentioned military units, which will further ensure the resilience of Ukraine's defense in this sector of the front.
"In general, the operational situation on the eastern front remains challenging. The enemy continues offensive actions, concentrating main efforts in the areas of Terny, Ivanivske, Berdychi, Tonenke, Verbove, and Robotyne," wrote the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Enemy activity decreases
As Syrskyi noted, presumably due to the high level of losses, the enemy's activity on other sectors of the front has significantly decreased.
"This was achieved thanks to timely management decisions to strengthen the defense of this sector of the front, timely replacement of units that lost combat capability, and thanks to the courage and resilience of our soldiers," he said.
Syrskyi informed that over the past two weeks of fierce fighting, the enemy has suffered extremely high losses. However, all the settlements that the invaders attempted to capture remained under Ukrainian control.
Award ceremony
Also, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, together with the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, presented state and departmental awards to Ukrainian servicemen who distinguished themselves in battles with the Russian aggressor.
"Nevertheless, there are still enough issues to be resolved on the spot, so we continue our work. We will win! Glory to Ukraine!" concluded Syrskyi.
