In the Donetsk region, intense fighting continues in several sectors at once. In particular, in a new direction - the Dobropillia axis, RBC-Ukraine reports, citing the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi.

"Another day on a working trip to the units holding the defense in the Donetsk region. Our fighters repel the enemy's fierce attacks daily in the Novopavlivka, Pokrovsk, Kramatorsk, and Toretsk directions," Syrskyi noted.

At the same time, the Commander-in-Chief reported that fighting continues in a new direction - the Dobropillia axis.

Ukraine's Army Chief said that just last week, near Yablunivka, the enemy launched a powerful attack using 24 units of armored vehicles. But Ukrainian troops stopped this onslaught, eliminating:
  • a large number of Russian personnel,
  • 20 armored vehicles.

Syrskyi heard reports on the situation at front

"I heard reports from commanders on the ground - the newly formed army corps, mechanized brigades, assault troops, marines. I gave the necessary orders to ensure the defense and improve its organization," the Commander-in-Chief reported.

Syrskyi emphasized that strengthening Ukrainian forces with trained personnel and timely, proper management decisions is necessary.

"I stressed that it is important to maintain full control over the troops, the effectiveness of the units in implementing the corps reform, when army corps commands take control of designated sets of forces in the sectors," Ukraine's Army Chief noted.

At the same time, Syrskyi expressed gratitude to Ukrainian warriors for their courage, dedication, and tangible results in eliminating the enemy.
