Ukraine's army chief makes important decision due to situation in Pokrovsk direction

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, ordered the allocation of additional forces and resources to strengthen the resilience of the defense in the Pokrovsk direction, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The General Staff noted that the situation in the Pokrovsk and Dobropillia areas is difficult and dynamic; however, the Defense Forces are taking all necessary measures to detect and destroy the enemy.
"In particular, by order of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, additional forces and resources have been allocated to strengthen the resilience of the defense. Measures have been planned to block enemy groups in the designated area," the statement reads.
It is reported that reserve units have already detected the enemy and achieved initial successes: the Russian troops are being destroyed and taken prisoner.
Situation in the Pokrovsk direction
Today, the American Institute for the Study of War reported that Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups are infiltrating areas near Dobropillia. The Russian troops have also likely recently advanced southeast of the settlement.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine have denied information about a breakthrough by Russian troops in the Pokrovsk and Dobropillia areas of the Donetsk region. The reports concern the infiltration of small groups, which are being destroyed by the Defense Forces.
According to Viktor Trehubov, spokesperson for the Dnipro operational-strategic group of troops, the Russian forces are using a tactic of infiltrating small groups past the first line of defense, losing many personnel, which occurred near Dobropillia.
The General Staff confirmed that the Defense Forces of Ukraine are taking effective measures to stop the advance of the Russian army in the Dobropillia and Pokrovsk directions.
