Ukraine's air defense forces shoot down all missiles used by Russia to attack Kyiv
The Air Defense Forces shot down all the enemy missiles that the Russian aggressor used to attack Kyiv on the night of December 13, according to the Kyiv City State Administration.
The aggressor launched missiles at about three in the morning, most likely from the northeast. All of them were destroyed by air defense forces and means.
However, as a result of the air defense, debris fell in three left-bank districts, damaging houses, injuring people, and causing fires.
Consequences of Falling Rocket Debris
In Darnytsia district, a private house caught fire over an area of 400 m2.
In Dniprovskyi district, a balcony on the 7th floor of a nine-story residential building caught fire, damaging the facade and windows of the building, and 4 cars in the yard caught fire. Residents were evacuated. The victims suffered mostly cut wounds and received first aid.
Also, a private house caught fire in the area of 2 m2.
In Desnianskyi district, debris was observed falling in the open and on the roadway.
According to the latest reports, 45 people were injured in the attack, including 2 children. 18 victims were hospitalized with injuries of varying severity, and 27 were treated on the spot.
Shelling of Kyiv on December 13
On Wednesday, December 13, around 3:00 a.m., about 10 powerful explosions were heard in Kyiv. After that, the city was put on alert, and the Ukrainian Air Force reported a missile threat in Kyiv and Chernihiv regions.
Fires broke out in Dniprovskyi, Desnianskyi, and Darnytskyi districts as a result of the falling debris of missiles shot down by air defense.
The mayor's office showed a large-scale fire in one of the capital's districts.
