Ukraine's air defense downs 8 out of 10 Russian drones
Russia launched 10 drones into Ukraine on the night of November 30. Air defense forces destroyed almost all targets, according to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Russian troops launched 10 Shaheds and unidentified drones into Ukraine from two areas - Kursk and Primorsko-Akhtarsk in Russia.
Air defense forces shot down 8 drones. Another drone was lost in the area, and another flew to the occupied territory.
The air defense operated in the Kyiv, Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, Dnipro, and Kherson regions.
Russia's latest large-scale attack
On November 28, the Russians launched a large-scale attack on Ukraine. The energy sector and infrastructure facilities came under fire.
Infrastructure facilities were damaged in the Rivne, Lviv, Kirovohrad, Kyiv, Volyn, Khmelnytskyi, Ivano-Frankivsk, Mykolaiv, and Vinnytsia regions. In total, damage was reported in 14 regions of Ukraine.
Due to the massive attack and damage, power companies were forced to intensify blackouts. According to Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, it is still impossible to predict when the situation with electricity will stabilize.
