Tomorrow, June 2, the second round of negotiations between Ukraine and Russia will take place in Türkiye. Information has already been released about the exact time the talks will begin, the Turkish media outlet Anadolu Agency (AA) reports.

According to sources from Türkiye's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meeting between the Ukrainian and Russian delegations will take place at the Çırağan Palace. Furthermore, the negotiations in Istanbul will begin at 1:00 p.m. local time.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that the Ukrainian delegation participating in the peace talks to end the war would be led by Defense Minister Rustem Umerov.

Just a few hours ago, Zelenskyy also approved the full composition of the Ukrainian delegation for the second round of talks with Russia in Istanbul. The list includes some changes.

The Russian delegation will be led by Vladimir Medinsky, an Aide to Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin. He also headed the Russian delegation in 2022 and at the May 16, 2025 negotiations.

Furthermore, in recent days, the Spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry stated that the Russian delegation will have the same composition as on the 16th.

At the upcoming meeting, both sides are expected to present their versions of peace proposals. Today, Reuters published the full text of the document that the Ukrainian side will take to the talks.

Ukraine's roadmap for peace includes provisions for a full ceasefire, prisoner exchange, security guarantees, and many other points. For more details about the document, read our material on the topic.
