Ukraine reveals Russia's summer offensive plans

Russian forces continue their offensive efforts as part of their summer campaign. In particular, they aim to reach the administrative border of the Dnipropetrovsk region, said Viktor Trehubov, spokesperson for the Khortytsia operational-strategic group of forces.
Trehubov noted that the intensity of fighting was quite high along the entire frontline today.
"This isn't news, it's just a sign that Russia's summer campaign is ongoing. Its goals are quite clear: an attempt to reach the Dnipropetrovsk region's borders, an attempt to break through in the middle of Donetsk region, and overall pressure wherever they can still exert it," he said.
He also noted that during this summer campaign, the enemy aims to capture Toretsk and Chasiv Yar.
Separately, the spokesperson pointed out that the situation in the Kupiansk direction remains difficult, with active enemy attempts to break through toward Kupiansk. However, there has been no significant Russian advance.
In the Lyman direction, there were 17 enemy assault attempts on Ukrainian positions over the last day.
At the same time, the Russian forces are still just as far from Kramatorsk as they were a year ago.
"They failed to take the town of Chasiv Yar. Yes, they have caused major destruction, yes, they attempted to bypass it from the north, and yes, they entered and took part of the town. But in the end, there's nothing that could be described as a breakthrough toward Kramatorsk," Trehubov explained.
He added that intense fighting continues within Chasiv Yar.
The main goal of Russia
Earlier, The Telegraph wrote that the main goal of the Russian summer offensive is the occupation of Kostiantynivka.
The town is an important logistics hub, with a key intersection of roads and railways.
