The Australian Open has released the list of players in the main draw for the 2026 tournament. Four Ukrainian representatives have made the list and will begin the new tennis season on the courts of Melbourne, according to the tournament's official website.

Ukrainians in Australian Open 2026 entry list

The organizers of the first Grand Slam of the season confirmed the participation of 98 players from the world's top 100. Among them are Elina Svitolina, Marta Kostyuk, Dayana Yastremska, and Oleksandra Oliynykova. All four players received direct entry into the main draw.

Alongside them, Anhelina Kalinina also had a chance to register. After a long break, she returned to the court and won her opening match in the round of 32 at the WTA tournament in Limoges.

The Ukrainian could have submitted an application using the protected ranking rule, as she was ranked 96th in the world at the time of her previous match.

Svitolina: 13th Australian Open of her career

Elina Svitolina will once again compete on the courts of Melbourne. For Ukraine's top player, the Australian Open 2026 will be her 13th appearance in her professional career.

Svitolina's best results at this tournament came in 2018, 2019, and 2025, when she reached the quarterfinals.

These performances remain her most notable achievements at the Australian Grand Slam.

Kostyuk: Second straight season starting in Melbourne

Marta Kostyuk will also join the main draw. For the Ukrainian, this will be her seventh Australian Open appearance, and for the second consecutive year, she will begin the season at this Grand Slam.

Kostyuk's best achievement remains her run to the quarterfinals in 2024, which is still her standout result on the Melbourne courts.

Yastremska: Most successful Ukrainian at tournament

Dayana Yastremska will play at the Australian Open for the seventh time in her career. She is currently the most successful among the Ukrainian players entered for the 2026 tournament.

In 2024, Yastremska caused a sensation by reaching the semifinals and becoming one of the biggest discoveries of that edition.

Oliynykova: Grand Slam debut

Oleksandra Oliynykova will make her debut at a Grand Slam tournament.

For the 24-year-old athlete, the Australian Open 2026 will be her first opportunity to compete at this level and test herself against the world's strongest players.

When tournament begins

The main draw matches of the Australian Open 2026 are scheduled to take place from January 18 to February 1.

Melbourne will traditionally host the world's best tennis players and open the new season of major tournaments.
