A mother and her two daughters, aged 3 and 5, have been evacuated from the temporarily occupied territories of the Kherson region, according to the Telegram channel of the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Prokudin.

“The family was unable to leave on their own, so the Ministry for Reintegration and the public organization Ukrainian Child Rights Network came to their aid,” wrote Prokudin.

According to the head of the Regional Military Administration, 15 days have passed since the start of preparations for their departure, a third of which was spent on the road. Currently, the mother and her children are safe.

Since the beginning of 2024, Ukraine has managed to return 151 children from the Kherson region.

Child deportation

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Russia has been forcibly transporting children to Belarus, temporarily occupied Crimea, or Russia. This has also led to the issuance of an arrest warrant for President Vladimir Putin by the International Criminal Court (ICC).

Recently, Ukraine also returned four more children who had been in the temporarily occupied part of the Kherson region.
