Ukraine pushes drone output into overdrive as war enters high-tech phase - Zelenskyy

Ukraine will contract all available volumes of priority types of drones. Production figures this year will exceed earlier plans, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
"First — drone contracting and production. I instructed that all available volumes of priority drone types be contracted, and we are also working separately with European partners on financing," the Ukrainian president said.
According to Zelenskyy, this year, there should be significantly higher production and delivery of drones to the military than initially planned.
"We are also preparing unconventional steps to strengthen our defense — expanding the geography of such support," he added.
Drone production
A week ago, Zelenskyy said Ukraine plans to manufacture hundreds of thousands of interceptor drones this year. He noted that the number of Russian Shaheds shot down will increase.
"The main component is interceptor drones. They have already proven themselves in Ukraine. We have tested these drones from several companies. Now we have signed a very serious contract. We are counting heavily on shooting down a large number of Shaheds," the Ukrainian president said.
In addition, recently, Zelenskyy wrote on social media that Ghana is ready to finance drone production for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
