Ukraine prepares jet-powered interceptors to counter Russia's new missiles

Russia has begun increasingly using its Banderol and Geran-5 systems to attack Ukraine. However, countermeasures are already being prepared, Serhii (callsign Flash) Beskrestnov, an adviser to the president of Ukraine on the development of defense technology, stated.
According to Flash, the Russians plan to develop these types of missiles not only now, but throughout the coming year as well.
“Many people have heard the name Banderol — it is a low-cost Russian jet-powered missile. We are tracking Russia’s attacks on Kyiv. I showed Geran-5 on my channel — it is also a jet-powered missile. It is not even a jet-powered UAV,” he said.
Flash emphasized that the list also includes the jet-powered Dan-M and Dan-T systems.
Against this backdrop, Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s adviser confirmed that Ukraine will have jet-powered interceptors to destroy such enemy targets.
He also added that Russia is already aware of this.
“We will try to develop jet-powered interceptor missiles so that we can counter such missiles [Russian ones],” he concluded.
Recently, Flash also explained which drone Russia launched and from where it was fired at the SBU building in Kyiv.
He also explained that Russia’s jet-powered Geran-5 systems cannot be shot down by interceptor drones.
