A large-scale air raid alert was declared across Ukraine on the night of Monday, June 9. The reason was the launch of a Russian MiG-31K fighter jet, according to the Air Force and the Air Raid Alert Map.

Multiple regions of Ukraine are currently under air raid alert due to the threat of incoming Shahed-type drones.

According to Zaporizhzhia regional governor Ivan Fedorov, around 3:00 AM Kyiv time, a Russian MiG-31K fighter jet, capable of carrying Kinzhal hypersonic missiles, was detected taking off.

At the same time, the Ukrainian Air Force warned of several missiles launched from Russia’s Bryansk region heading toward Kyiv.

At 3:15 AM Kyiv time, the Air Force reported the launch of additional missiles toward Kyiv and Chernihiv. Meanwhile, several explosions were reported in Rivne.

Earlier, explosions were also heard in Kyiv, with local authorities confirming air defense systems were engaged.

The previous large-scale attack on the capital occurred during the night of June 6, when destruction and fires were recorded in six districts of Kyiv. Casualties were reported.
