On the night of June 9, Kyiv came under another Russian attack involving drones. Air defense systems are operating in the Ukrainian capital, and explosions have been heard, according to the Kyiv City Military Administration (KCMA).

An air raid alert was declared in Kyiv at 10:45 PM Kyiv time. The head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Tymur Tkachenko, warned of a large number of targets heading toward the capital.

"Many targets in various regions, possibly heading toward the capital. A few targets are also on the outskirts of Kyiv from the east. Air defense will be active, it may be loud. Stay in shelters," he wrote.

At 1:49 AM Kyiv time, the Kyiv City Military Administration reported air defense operations against the target over the capital.

Massive Russian attacks

On June 8, Russia launched a large number of drones at Ukraine, prompting air raid alerts in many regions.

During the night of June 6, Russia also carried out a combined strike on Ukraine using 407 drones and 45 missiles of various types. At that time, Kyiv, Lutsk, and Chernihiv were targeted, resulting in deaths and numerous injuries.

In Kyiv, destruction was recorded in six districts. Four people were killed, including three rescue workers.
