Ukraine nationalizes assets of the Ministry of Defense of Belarus: details
The assets of the Ministry of Defense of Belarus in Ukraine have been successfully nationalized, explicitly referring to components of the electrical aviation launch system, according to the statement from the Higher Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine.
"On Monday, August 21, the board of judges of the Higher Anti-Corruption Court satisfied the lawsuit filed by the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine against the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus and applied sanctions," the statement reads.
The Higher Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine has seized property belonging to the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus for the benefit of the state. This concerns components of the electrical aviation launch system.
Preceding events
Last week, Inna Bohatykh, the Director of the Sanctions Policy Department at the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, stated that Ukraine plans to nationalize the property of the Ministry of Defense of Belarus and the Russian cargo company "Volga-Dnepr."
According to her, Ukraine could potentially nationalize six D-18T series three aviation engines for AN-124-100 "Ruslan" aircraft owned by the Russian company.
It was also planned to nationalize one aviation engine and an air starter belonging to the Ministry of Defense of Belarus.
Asset confiscation in Ukraine
Earlier, the Higher Anti-Corruption Court satisfied a lawsuit from the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine and confiscated the assets of Kherson collaborator Volodymyr Saldo.
The Higher Anti-Corruption Court recently confiscated some assets from Dmytro Mykhailovych Vorona. He is a "senator" from the Russian Federation representing the occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region.
