Ukraine should defeat Russia in the air, just as it defeated the aggressor on the Black Sea, according to the briefing at the White House.
The Ukrainian leader emphasized that strengthening ground forces in 2024 is crucial. Controlling the sky, he noted, would provide a strategic advantage, as the one who controls the sky also dictates the duration of the war.
President Zelenskyy's visit to the United States
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is on a two-day visit to the United States on December 11-12.
On Tuesday, December 12, Zelenskyy met with U.S. President Joe Biden. During the meeting, the head of the White House signed an agreement in the Oval Office to provide Ukraine with $200 million in financial assistance.
President Zelenskyy said that it was necessary to work faster with frozen Russian assets. This is more than $300 billion still belonging to terrorists.
Biden called on Congress not to give Vladimir Putin a "gift" and to approve financial assistance for Ukraine's defense needs before Congress vacation.
