Ukraine launches Whistleblower Portal: Everyone can take part in Russian asset arrests
Ukrainians can assist law enforcement in searching for and arresting Russian assets abroad. For this purpose, a special portal has been launched, according to the National Agency on Corruption Prevention.
Ukrainian Task Force for the search, arrest, and confiscation of assets related to Russia's war crimes launched the Whistleblower Asset Portal early in the full-scale invasion. The Task Force collaborates with other countries, including the USA and the EU, exchanging information on the assets of individuals involved in the aggression against Ukraine or those evading sanctions.
If you have information about the properties of these individuals abroad, you can report it on the Portal. For example, information about:
- Apartments in the UK,
- Estates in the USA, Canada, or any other country,
- Gold bars in Switzerland,
- Yachts docked in EU countries.
Additionally, messages on the portal can be submitted anonymously and in three languages: Ukrainian, English, and Russian.
Earlier, media reported that the EU was considering the possibility of transferring frozen Russian assets and profits to support Ukraine's reconstruction.
However, it was later revealed that the European Commission postponed the initiative concerning frozen Russian assets for Ukraine, and it won't be presented until September.
