Ukraine is behind blaze on Russian ship in Baltic Sea - Bloomberg
Ukrainian military intelligence has claimed responsibility for the attack on a Russian military naval missile cruiser in the Baltic Sea, Bloomberg reports.
According to the source, an official familiar with the operation stated that this operation underscores Kyiv's efforts to strike at Kremlin forces far from the front line.
This attack marks the first Ukrainian military strike on Russian territory in Kaliningrad.
The official, speaking on condition of anonymity, claimed that Ukrainian agents carried out the assault. However, neither the Russian military nor Kremlin officials have mentioned this incident.
The source reports that the Russian ship was docked at a naval base in Baltiysk, a town in Kaliningrad located just over 20 kilometers from the Polish border.
Frontline situation
The Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reports Russian occupiers advancing near the Kreminna area of the Luhansk region; to the northwest of Bakhmut and to the southwest of Donetsk in the Donetsk regiont.
Over the past day, there have been 56 combat clashes on the front line. The enemy attacked most vigorously on the Novopavlivka direction, with occupiers attempting to breach our troops' defenses 26 times.
