Ukraine introduces unique twin-motor motorcycle for battlefield operations

Ukraine's Defense Ministry has codified and approved for use by the Armed Forces the country's first all-wheel-drive electric motorcycle, the MUL.E, according to the press service of Ukraine's Defense Ministry.
The Defense Ministry said the motorcycle was developed by a Ukrainian company specializing in military equipment production. It was designed in response to requests from the military to meet the demands of modern high-intensity warfare.
The MUL.E is intended for transporting troops with weapons, carrying small cargo loads, and evacuating wounded personnel across various types of terrain, including off-road conditions.
Features of the MUL.E electric motorcycle
During testing, the MUL.E confirmed its stated performance specifications and demonstrated its ability to carry out military missions.
Key features of the motorcycle include:
- A 2x2 all-wheel-drive configuration;
- Enhanced survivability thanks to two independent motors;
- Near-silent operation;
- Rapid deployment;
- Long autonomous operating time;
- Extended driving range;
- High resistance to mine blasts due to low ground pressure.
A fully charged battery provides the MUL.E with a range of nearly 100 kilometers. Unlike most electric vehicles, it does not become inoperable once the battery is depleted.
The motorcycle is equipped with a removable gasoline-powered generator mounted on the frame, which recharges the main batteries. The generator can also be used as a standalone power source for charging phones, communication equipment, FPV drone batteries, and supplying electricity to military units in field conditions.
Earlier reports said that Ukraine's Defense Forces are expected to receive a record number of motorcycles this year — around 1,500 units. Six different companies will take part in the deliveries.
The participation of six companies in the procurement process helped reduce the final contract value by nearly 12 million hryvnias.
