The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), together with the Defence Forces and Defense Intelligence, carried out strikes on several important military and logistical facilities on the territory of Russia.

According to the SBU, the 15th arsenal of the Russian Navy in the Leningrad region, the Kronstadt naval base, as well as the Ust-Labinsk oil depot in the Krasnodar region, came under attack.

After the strike on the 15th arsenal of the Russian Navy, a fire broke out at the site, and secondary detonation began. Missiles and ammunition are stored in the warehouses. Messages about a possible evacuation of residents of nearby settlements also appeared in local chats.

Fires were also recorded in the area of the Kronstadt naval base and the Kronstadt marine plant. These facilities support the activity of Russia’s ship grouping in the Baltic Sea.

A separate target was the Ust-Labinsk oil depot in the Krasnodar region. According to the SBU, after a series of explosions, a large fire broke out there. The fire covered at least three tanks with petroleum products.

“This oil depot is an important rear hub for the storage and supply of fuel for Russian troops in the southern and eastern directions,” the Security Service stated.

They also emphasized that such operations weaken the capabilities of the Russian Baltic Fleet, since the affected facilities are used for ammunition storage, repair, and support for ships' combat operations.

“Their disabling complicates the enemy’s logistics, reduces the fleet’s combat readiness, and limits Russia’s ability to operate in the Baltic region,” the SBU concluded.

On the night of June 6, Ukrainian drones attacked the Kronstadt naval base of the Russian Baltic Fleet near St. Petersburg. According to the Special Operations Forces, a fire was recorded on the territory of the facility after drone strikes.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the drones covered about 1,000 km to the St. Petersburg region and struck Russian Navy arsenals and the base in Kronstadt.
