Russian forces launched 142 drones at Ukraine during the night of August 31. Most were intercepted, but some hits were recorded, according to the Ukrainian Air Force on Telegram.

The attackers deployed strike drones and decoy UAVs from four directions: Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and Chauda in Crimea.

The attack was repelled by Ukraine’s air defense missile units, electronic warfare and drone units, and mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces. By morning, air defense forces had shot down 126 drones of various types across the north, south, and east of the country.

"Sixteen strike drones hit 10 locations, with debris from downed drones falling in six locations," the Ukrainian Air Force reported.

Strike on Chornomorsk

During the night of August 31, Russian forces attacked Odesa region with drones. According to local authorities, Chornomorsk and its surrounding areas were the hardest hit.

The attack damaged energy infrastructure, leaving more than 29,000 residents of Chornomorsk without electricity.

Fires broke out in some areas but were quickly extinguished by emergency services. One person was reported injured. Rescuers released footage showing the aftermath of the strike in Odesa region.
